I submitted a dispute regarding a public record a few months ago ( 60 days approximately ) which was in writing via certified mail. The investigation resulted in no change and I inquired about how the dispute was investigated. I was informed a third party ( XXXX and XXXXI ) had provided information. I followed up with a second written dispute and provided supporting documentation showing an incorrect public record. I asked for a thorough investigation and explained why XXXX and XXXX had incorrect information, as they only had access to Pacer and did not contact the record holder. I provided a statement from the original placer of the record and confirmed XXXX and XXXX had not contacted them. After submitting the second dispute in XXXX the investigation was again closed without change and without reasonable investigation, so I opted for a 15 day reinvestigation, but was denied this right by the consumer reporting company who instead opened a new dispute and clearly stated they did not have to reinvestigate, even under 15 usc 1681 and with supporting documents. The item was not removed as required by law during the reinvestigation period and I was told that my documents were not reviewed by the third parties XXXX and XXXX. I would request the public record be removed as it contains an error and the consumer reporting agency did not investigate the claim properly.
