On XX/XX/2021, I received an email from Experian ( Attachment # 1 ) to my secondary email address indicating that my email address was changed on my Experian account. I attempted to login to my account and change my login credentials to prevent my credit information from being stolen. However, my credentials were no longer recognized, and when I tried to retrieve my username or password using my SSN and DOB, nothing was sent to my email as it has been changed in the system. I called Experian using various customer service numbers they list on their website ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) and was unsuccessful. The automated messages asked me to access my account online or enter my credentials ( which were not recognized anymore ), and the only live representatives I could reach were in Business department. These representatives were not able to assist me or transfer me to a manager or Individual department. I then sent two emails to the support team on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ( Attachments # 2 and # 3 ) and never received a response. I am a former victim of identity theft and had a credit freeze on my Experian account. Despite having a notice on my account that I do not want changes made to my account without first being contacted, someone was able to take over my account. I am very concerned for my credit health.
