CapitalOne credit cards use TransUnion as their credit reporting agency. In early XXXX of 2021, I paid my credit card balance nearly in full ( close to $ 8k ). XXXX has begun reporting weekly and in some cases, daily credit status to other services, like XXXX. As of XX/XX/2021, CapitalOne has not reported my balance decrease to XXXX, or XXXX is not reporting balance decreases in an equal manner as they are about balance increases. The result is that my credit score dropped 41 points when my spouse and I opened a retail credit card for a simliar amount, and simultaneously did not make any effort to keep my score when the balance was paid. I believe this is a predatory credit reporting measure and should not be an acceptable practice.
