Hello My loan origination date was XX/XX/2004 my original loan amount was XXXX I don't understand why I still owe so much on my home. My loan was supposed to be a 30 year home loan. I am looking at my account with Midland Mortgage and it shows my maturity date asXX/XX/2050. I have never refinanced my home. I just want some answers as to my the payments I have made over the last 17 years have only went to the interest on the loan. I believe the balance on my mortgage should be significantly lower.
