Someone in Illinois fraudulently filed for unemployment insurance on my behalf. That was reported. Out of caution I have placed credit freezes with XXXX and XXXX Experian did not allow me to file a freeze online and asked me to send in a physical request by mail along with highly sensitive personally identifying information. It seems they are making me jump through hoops to file a freeze to discourage the freeze, and it is working. I will not file a freeze with them by mail due to the potential risk of extremely sending sensitive information by mail including photocopied ID cards. And so, influenced by the behavior of their system, I will not file a freeze with them at all despite the risks to my identity.
