I initiated a mortgage refinance application ( Loan # XXXX XXXX with XXXX XXXX ( NMLS # XXXX XXXX from LoanDepot on XX/XX/30. During application, I double-checked with XXXX on if Loan Depot can acknowledge the income from my new job as I only started 2 months ago. XXXX confirmed that it won't be a problem and then I agreed on to proceed with paying appraisal deposit. 3 weeks later, I noticed that my application status was turned into inactive. I didn't receive any communication from XXXX or processor about the change. I had to make 20+ phone calls to get connected to XXXX and learned that underwriter denied the application because of my income history. I asked for full refund of appraisal deposit as I was mislead by the promise as income history will not be an issue. XXXX said he need to talk to his manager about the refund and will get back to me that day. I've never heard anything back from him and he never picked up any phone calls.
