My credit score has been very negatively affected because someone fraudulently used my name, ss number and date of birth but a different mailing address to purchase a {$40000.00} loan for a XXXX through BMW financial services. I first noticed this in XXXX through credit monitoring that multiple inquiries had been made on my credit and a {$40000.00} vehicle loan had been taken in my name through BMW financial services on or around XX/XX/XXXX. The first payment had been made for the vehicle but none thereafter. I contacted BMW financial services on XX/XX/XXXX and they emailed me a letter identifying that they were doing an investigation into the situation. I filed disputes with all 3 credit bureaus explaining the situation. I received a reply from XXXX at the end of XXXX indicating that the claims on my credit report would stay because BMW financial services told XXXX that they determined it was not fraud. I then received a call from BMW stating the same, that they had closed the case because they determined it wasnt fraud. When I pressed them to explain what research they had done and how they came to determine it wasnt fraud, they refused to provide me any information. I was told by them, however, that I could email someone at BMW financial services by the name of XXXX XXXX with additional documents requested by them and request to reopen the case. I complied with this request and emailed Ms. XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX with said documents and have never received a response. They would not give me her phone number. I have yet to receive a response regarding the dispute from the 2 remaining credit bureaus, but nothing has been removed from my credit reports and the person who fraudulently purchased the car in my name has not made a payment since XXXX of this year. I dont know what else to do to resolve this matter and it is destroying my credit that I have worked so hard to maintain in good standing. BMW financial services clearly do not care about my circumstances as they obviously did very little ( if anything ) to investigate and resolve this situation of identity fraud.
