Discover has a XXXX EST cutoff time for payments to post on an account on the same day. On XX/XX/2021 ( my due date ), I submitted my monthly payment at XXXX EST. Despite submitting my payment on the due date, I was charged a late fee because it was after XXXX EST. This policy and/or practice is unfair to credit card customers. Even if payments submitted after XXXX EST can not post on the same day, customers who submit payments between XXXX EST and XXXX EST should not be charged a late fee if submitted on the due date. I have several credit cards with other financial institutions and Discover is the only institution I know that has this policy and/or practice.
