Consumer Narrative
On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I acquired a XXXX XXXX XXXX ( demo ) from XXXX XXXX. I worked with XXXX XXXX and this would be my second time working with him. I got the XXXX and it took two days to do the deal, the payment was {$590.00} I asked about property taxes I was told that they were included with the payment, they were not. I have not paid any property taxes and refuse to pay because of the tactics that were used. This was my first time leasing, about a year in I reviewed the documents and noticed that the mileage had XXXX on the documents, I called and went over them with the representative from Nissan. The representatives have continuously violated my requests to stop calling me and have harassed me over the course of this lease. Their representatives have used profanity on an open line and have been difficult. Nissan has stated that the issue would be corrected and it has not and has neglected to follow up with the Dealership to ensure that they would correct the " so called error ''. I made a complaint with the CFPB this was around XXXX. Time passed and this issue was still unresolved. I began receiving calls and mailers from Nissan about the lease ending and I starting reviewing the documents again and going back to attempt to resolve the issue/complaint. I contacted Nissan 's Consumer Affairs, we were in the Pandemic by this time, I noticed the response from Nissan from my initial complaint, it stated that the Dealership was to correct the issue. XXXXXXXX XXXX never contacted me, I had reached out to them to discuss it and they never offer to correct it. Mind you this was before I knew about the letter from Nissan Finance. Moving forward, I made a DMV, complaint because I strongly believed that Nissan Finance should have reconciled the title against my contract upon receipt and then there would not have been this mistrust between myself, Nissan and the dealership. However, it was me, the Consumer that discovered the error. So, we get to the end of the lease, I find a XXXX I like at XXXX, I get approved at XXXX and the XXXX is on the way. I also attempt to resolve yet again with Nissan, they have a XXXX so I call them and go into the Dealership on XX/XX/XXXX meet with XXXX XXXX to attempt to transact a third vehicle with XXXX XXXX he passes me off to a young lady. I can't recall her name but she was very nice. I complete a full credit application pay stubs, drivers license to purchase, they appraised my car and had an opportunity to check mileage and damage. Mr. XXXX XXXX asks how much did my car appraise for I didn't disclose because that wasn't the issue. However, my car appraised for {$19000.00} at XXXX and then he began to state that I owed over {$4000.00} in early lease termination fees. Which was a lie. He could not have contacted Nissan otherwise they would have explained the issue about the contract which I did and the property taxes I requested my keys and left. Then I purchase my XXXX at XXXX and attempted to pay them off I authorized them to speak with XXXX and anyone from including my salesman XXXX XXXX. Nissan refused, so they could further damage me and my credit worthiness. They now are reporting late on my credit report after the mileage was incorrect on a lease, my contract stated XXXX miles and the title had XXXX according to Nissan. However, I never signed for the new amount and if I had not caught the " so called error '' they would have charged me at the overage from 270 miles. They came and picked up the vehicle on or about XX/XX/XXXX. I still have not heard from them regarding the mileage and their error.
