In XXXX or XXXX, a debt that had fallen off my credit report in XXXX was put back on my report. This was a debt from XXXX, so I disputed it and asked the company to send me the information on the original debt as well as when they acquired the debt and explain how and why it was on my credit report in XXXX because as far as I knew I had no account with them or XXXX XXXX XXXX currently & I had received no kind of correspondences prior to XXXX of XXXX. When I received the letter from them it contained what looked like a bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that I owed {$140.00}, dated XXXX of XXXX. I was confused since I currently have no account with XXXX XXXX XXXX and was given NONE of the information asked for. When I called I was told that they had acquired the debt in XXXX, again I received nothing from them, and they restarted the debt then. When I told her it was illegal for them to restart a debt from XXXX just because they purchased it in XXXX of XXXX, I was hung up on. I live in Washington State and I don't think that this is a fair or legal practice.
