Originally contacted XX/XX/2021 hmfusa ( Hyundai Motor Finance ) ; a " charge-off '' was placed on my account after the vehicle was deemed a total-loss ( losing XXXX points on my credit score ), as never being late on any payments and paying my loan as agreed per terms of my agreement I contacted hmfusa and requested the inaccuracy to be removed and sent a letter on XX/XX/2021 to hmfusa XXXX as of today ( XX/XX/2021 ) I continue to make timely payments as agreed by my loan 's terms. I disputed this inaccuracy with XXXX XXXX and XXXX and so far XXXX denied my request to delete the charge off status even though I have proof that I was never late or less than the minimum amount per month. I don't believe it is okay to mark a customer 's account as a " charge off '' and damage their credit when they've never been late or had missed payments. and nowhere in my loan contract states that you are able to determine the account as a " charge-off '' whenever you feel like it. In conclusion, I will never do business with Hyundai Motor Finance again.
