I had a medical collection bill that opened on Experian XX/XX/XXXX. It was from the agency XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, the collections account was deleted from my credit report. On XX/XX/XXXX, my credit score on my Experian credit report fell 64 points because they sold my information to " XXXX XXXX XXXX '', who then reinserted it on my credit report. I was not notified by Experian that this change would happen. According to the FCRA, " if an item is erased and is reinserted afterwards, the FCRA requires that the CRA send you a written notice of reinsertion within 5 days ''. They did not do this ; therefore, it was a violation of the FCRA. Also, I am not certain but I don't think its okay for my information from a health care facility should be sold to collections who also sell to other collection agencies since it contains Protected Health Information like my billing information which is protected under HIPAA. Please look into this for me. Thank you.
