On XX/XX/2021 I sent a dispute letter via mail to the 3 credit bureaus attempting to dispute an incorrect account appearing on my credit report. I provided my home address, copy of personal current I.D., and proof of address along with my letter. I waited a month or so, XXXX and Equifax sent a response letter but XXXX never got back to me. At that point, I sent a letter to Equifax warning them they have 30 days to respond and again, requesting a correction of my credit report otherwise I'd file a complaint against them to the CFPB. Equifax has yet to respond to my second letter. Additionally, I politely requested valid proof of the debt shown on my report ( such as a signed contract or agreement ) yet XXXX and Equifax failed to do so.
