I have a current mortgage with Lakeview Loan Servicing , LLC. We bought our house on XX/XX/XXXX, so our first escrow analysis was due in XX/XX/XXXX. We received our analysis that said had an overage of {$460.00} and that it would be mailed separately. Our account " shows '' that a check was issued on XX/XX/XXXX. I called the company on XX/XX/XXXX to inquire about my missing check. I was told there was nothing they could do for me until the check had been missing for 30 days. She wouldn't even document that it was missing because it was two days early and I would just have to call back. I called back on XX/XX/XXXX because I still had not received my check. The representative I talked to assured me that she would expedite my claim and check would be in the mail no later than Friday, XX/XX/XXXX. I once again called on XX/XX/XXXX because I STILL have not received my money that they are withholding from me. This time I was told that the check had been issued XX/XX/XXXX and I should have it soon. I received an e-mail the same day that said my escrow refund was now in process! I'm still not even sure a check has been issued. This is well out of the 30 days that is allowed to issue a customer their overage on their escrow account. I have tried to be fair with Lakeview Loan Servicing , LLC. However, they have grossly mishandled this situation. I asked the last representative that I talked to if there was a way to wire or overnight my money since we are going on 60 days without it. He said that was not possible. I did ask him to note in my account that if I had not received my overage by Friday, XX/XX/XXXX then I would be filing a complaint with the CFPB. I have never been late on a payment in my life and they can't seem to refund my money according to the government guidelines. I will be interested to see how long it takes for me to actually get my money that they are withholding.
