I contacted my mortgage provider during covid 19 to indicate that I was unable to make payments as scheduled. I was approved for a Forerance in XX/XX/XXXX and was told it was good for 6 months. In XXXX of XXXX, I called again and I was told I had several options for repayment. I could repay everything I owed all at once ( ( I was unable to do this ), I could go on a repayment plan or I would lose my home, the last option was to extend the forbearance. XX/XX/XXXX I extended the forbearance and was told it was good for another 6 months. XX/XX/XXXX, I called the loan provider and was only give the option of a repayment plan so I began the process of trying to figure out what was needed. I was told I would be called with options and or it sent in writing. No one ever called so I called again and was given these terms ; XXXX down payment and monthly payment would be XXXX for 12 months as the mortgage was XXXX. I began the payment plan in XXXX of XXXX. I then realized that my loan had been reported as DELINQUENT for 120+ days. I called and asked why this happened and was told the loan would be reported as delinquent for over a year. I asked why this was never told to me and furthermore if I was on a repayment plan why would this be reported. I received NO response. On XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed that loan was closed, I called again and they indicated the loan had been sold but yet they are still reporting a loss on my credit report. I was under the understanding that the government had indicated that loans and mortgages would NOT be reported as a loss. I have been paying the loan back so not sure why this is happening. Please assist me as this will affect my score for the next 10 years. As many in the world, we have all been affected by COVID and my intentions were never to NOT pay and I have resumed paying my monthly payment of XXXX and an additional amount of {$1800.00} so I would not lose my home.
