My mother deceased XX/XX/XXXX. She had a checking account at Wells Fargo for which I was listed as heir on my parent 's will. Upon her passing I contacted Wells Fargo ( WF ) regarding the recurring monthly fees on her account ( about $ XXXX/month ). WF assured me that once I received my order from the court, the accrued service fees would be reversed retroactive to the date of my mother 's passing. At the time of my mother 's passing the account had about {$2200.00}. WF did assure me that the service fees would not be charged to the account during the time the account was frozen and I was reconciling ownership through the courts. When I finally received court authority in XXXX I learned the amount in the account was significantly reduced to about {$1600.00}. At this time WF advised they would not refund the service fees ( about {$650.00} total ), that had accrued since my mother 's passing.
