I had requested refunds for two ( 2 ) transaction on my Capital One credit card, both for airline tickets on XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/2020 I purchased two tickets from XXXX to XXXX, for {$690.00} USD. This flight was to take place on XX/XX/2020. The flight was cancelled by XXXX, and never took place. On XX/XX/2020 I purchased two tickets from XXXX to XXXX, for {$230.00} EURO. This flight was to take place on XX/XX/2020. The flight was also cancelled by XXXX, and never took place. I submitted in writing the refund request to Capital One on XXXX, and XX/XX/2020 for these two charges ; this was only after repeated attempts by me to get a refund directly from the airline. US Dept of Transportation rules clearly state that if a flight is cancelled and you choose to cancel your trip as a result, you are entitled to a refund for the unused transportation. Capital One was supplied copious information and documentation for these charges and cancellations. Yet they still have denied my claim, citing that my request " lacks information needed to validate your dispute ''. I have made over 40 phone calls and sent documentation in writing and via their online portal, yet CapOne still refuses to honor this claim. They have reapplied the two charges to my account after initially posting the required temporary credits. They have now placed my credit history in jeopardy by trying to collect these two charges without any proof that they are owed the money. I never received the services these charges were for. This is Capital One Case # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( same case # for both claims ).
