Consumer Narrative

During the pandemic I fell on hard times and lost my job and second source of income. The CARES Act was passed, so i just recently seen my credit report and seen UNLAWFUL reports of lates to my report!! So after careful review of the CARES Act i sent the Bureaus letters on XX/XX/XXXX and still OVER XXXX later Still NO REPONSE! The FCRA states that disputes must be resolved within XXXX days, I feel takin advantage of as a consumer violated in my rights! The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security ( CARES ) Act, passed by XXXX and signed into law on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, contains a provision explicitly addressing the FCRA , as XXXX XXXX previously reported. Section 4021 of the CARES Act amends Section 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) of the FCRA ( 15 U.S.C. 1681 s-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) ). Now, as furnisher of data to the consumer reporting agencies that allows its customers to defer payments, make partial payments, modify credit terms, or makes other arrangements for its customers affected by COVID-19, should not report the account as delinquent, but should continue to be reporting it as current. These new reporting requirements are retroactive to XX/XX/XXXX.
