I used to have a Wells Fargo account. Stopped using them bc of their poor quality of service. I recently received a letter in the mail regarding a refund check that was mailed to my previous address last year. A few excerpts from the letter : " ... we would like to ensure you received the refund for x amount ... '' And " if you did not receive the check, please contact our office at the number below and we would be happy to reissue your refund ''. I called first at the end of XXXX and then again mid XXXX after not receiving the new refund check that they promised to reissue on both occasions. I called again today ( call # 3 ) and this time, they mysteriously couldn't find my information at all and would " call me back ''. I do not have any hopes that they will ever call me back, considering that the issue was supposedly resolved the first time I called back in XXXX. According to XXXX, the " supervisor '', they would " investigate '' and call me back. Ha. He also " didn't recognize '' the Wells Fargo customer service number on the letter which I used to call to get in contact with him ( after being transferred several times ). This company is a joke. As far as I am concerned, they are guilty of theft for not reissuing the check for MY money. My only guess is that they are stalling and dragging their feet until the " applicable time period '' is up so they don't have to give me my money. Clearly, they are not happy to reissue my refund as they previously stated
