Leased XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. Paid monthly payment {$430.00} on time every month and returned the vehicle on XX/XX/XXXX prior the the lease end date. Dealer provided me with the Vehicle Return Receipt XXXX attached XXXX that he and myself signed agreeing the car was returned on time with no damage. It was at that time that I was told there was nothing else I needed to do and I left the dealership. On XX/XX/XXXX I had a missed call and voicemail from XXXX XXXX asking me to contact them at my earliest convenience. I called back that same day and spoke to a representative who said I needed to pay a " return fee '' for my lease. When I originally leased the car I made sure to ask the dealer if there was return fee, as I had experienced this with a past lease, and they said " we do not do that ''. Therefore I was a bit surprised by the representatives call saying I needed to pay this but agreed to as she said it was required. After paying she said everything was taken care of and nothing else was needed on my end. It has now been brought to my attention that this payment was late and is effecting my credit negatively. When I spoke to the representative she did not make mention of the payment being late and did not make mention of past attempts to get in contact with me. In looking at my XXXX account I see mail correspondence was sent to my old address and never got forwarded to my current address. If there were additional calls made to me regarding this I was unaware as a voicemail was never left until XX/XX/XXXX. If I had been made aware of this when dropping off my car and signing the vehicle return receipt I would have paid it right away but I was told everything was completed and there was nothing else I needed to do.
