I went to a seminar and thought I purchased a time share, I later realized what I had was a membership, not real estate. Even though the contract says membership, I was confused because of what the sales rep said, escrow is ownership. I went back to the office of XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) in XXXX, CA. and saw one of the salesman who signed me up in the parking lot. I explained to him that I was confused with all the high pressure tag teaming, switching to managers and everybody shouting when new people signed up. He told me its basically impossible to get out of the loan and I should look into using the service. After, trying to book reservations on more than one occasion, I gave up. They said there would be no problem booking or getting reservations, that was not true. They promised FREE trip incentives that are impossible to book AND end up costing money if it is even available. They lied about the incentives to sweeten their deception. I have never used their services and I put my savings of {$1200.00} down. I was then and still am on social security XXXX so I dont have money to throw away to a company who was not truthful. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has put {$7200.00} on my credit and now Monterey Financial Services is trying to collect. I called XXXX XXXX at Monterrey to get the agreement so I could later explain my complaint but he went straight in saying they are going to take legal action against me. The tactics they used were deceptive and misleading. Please help me resolve this issue as I a trying to get permanent housing.
