I am filing a complaint regarding Wells Fargo accounts that were improperly debited and left in a negative status for an extended period of time, causing severe financial harm. Beginning around XX/XX/XXXX and continuing through XX/XX/XXXX, my Wells Fargo checking account ending in XXXX and an associated savings account were repeatedly placed into a negative balance due to transactions and adjustments that I dispute. I filed a formal claim with Wells Fargo on XX/XX/XXXX. Since XX/XX/XXXX, my accounts have effectively been unusable because of the negative balance created by these disputed transactions. As a result : I have been unable to pay bills normally I have been unable to open another bank account I have been denied short-term credit or loans My financial situation deteriorated to the point that my vehicle was repossessed because I could not access my funds or obtain temporary financing I have been forced to operate day-to-day using prepaid cards and cash cards simply to receive income and pay for necessities. I have also had to rely on public transportation because I can not resolve the financial damage created by the account status. A Wells Fargo escalation representative acknowledged my complaint and indicated the matter would be reviewed, but on XX/XX/XXXX I received notice that Wells Fargo intends to delay the investigation until XX/XX/XXXX. This issue has already been ongoing for months and has caused significant financial hardship. I am requesting the following : 1. Immediate correction of the account balances related to the disputed transactions 2. Reversal of any fees associated with these issues 3. Restoration of my banking status so I may use my accounts normally 4. Written documentation of the investigation results 5. Consideration of compensation for the financial damage caused by the prolonged inability to access normal banking services I respectfully request regulatory review of Wells Fargos handling of this matter and assistance in resolving this issue as soon as possible.
