On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a gift of money through PayPal to a friend in XXXX. The transaction was flagged as suspicious because of a years old note in the note box. PayPal asked me to explain and I did. PayPal said that this issue will be resolved in XXXX72 hours from XX/XX/XXXX. Four times throughout XXXX and into XXXX I answered them. I explained that the note was from when my wife was in XXXX several years ago. She has been here with me in the XXXX now since XXXX. I was told in a chat that I must ask the recipient to return the money. I tried to again explain that the recipient has never received the money. I never received any result from PayPal for any of their inquiries. I finally called a phone number that I copied from one of the chats that I had with PayPal and explained that I wanted the money to be sent to the recipient or returned to me by a canceled transaction. I was told that I would receive an email or phone call within three days as to the outcome. This email and phone call never came. And so here we are.
