I am submitting this complaint against Aldous & Associates , PLLC for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ). I previously sent this company a written cease-and-desist notice instructing them to stop all communication with me regarding an alleged debt. Despite receiving this notice, the company continued contacting me. Under 15 U.S.C. 1692c ( c ), a debt collector must cease communication after receiving written notice except for limited lawful purposes. Their continued contact exceeds those legal exceptions and constitutes unlawful collection activity. Their actions demonstrate disregard for federal consumer protection laws and have caused me distress, inconvenience, and harassment. I have retained records of these communications as evidence.
