On on XX/XX/year> I received a call from a no caller ID stating that they were with XXXX XXXX XXXX department. Being that my friend got XXXX last night, they assured me that by sending money it would allow for her to get out sooner. They asked me to send money through XXXX XXXX, which I did. they stated the payments did not go through. They then asked that I go to XXXX in XXXX around this time. They asked me to send the money through Cash app. I placed XXXX transactions through Cash app totaling {$1500.00}. I sent a dispute through Cash app Support. The scammers were able to call me through the sheriff departments number as well for verification, they were even able to send me text to reset my pin number through Cash app due to the sincerity of the situation with my friend in XXXX, I believed them.
