I informed the collection agency that the account was fraudulent and that someone had unlawfully and without my authorization obtained my personal information to open up multiple accounts in my name. I included an email I received from XXXX XXXX XXXX about a resent data breach in which my personal information was exposed. I also presented an email I received from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, informing me that my personal information was impacted by there data breach. My case number is XXXX. I also have my police report. XXXX and XXXX both removed this account from my credit file once they received my documents. This accrued in XX/XX/year>. I reached out to XXXX to inquire why the account was not removed and was told that my SSN and DL was not clear enough and to resend them back in. I resent clearer copies and called XXXX to make sure they were acceptable. I was told that they received the documents and that the account would be removed in XXXX hours. A week went by and it was still reporting. I called XXXX for and explanation and was told that my CFPB report had expired and I would have to file another one. Therefore this is my second attempt at resolving this matter.
