To Whom It May Concern, My name is XXXX XXXX. I am filing a formal complaint against XXXX regarding funds removed from my account that XXXX claims were remitted to the New York Office of Unclaimed Funds, but which I have been unable to locate. On XX/XX/year>, I received an email from XXXX stating that my account balance was being sent to the New York State unclaimed property office. Immediately after receiving that email, I contacted XXXX to address the matter and attempt to recover my funds. Since that date, I have continued communicating with XXXX ; however, the issue remains unresolved to this day. XXXX has stated that the funds were sent to New York State, but they have not provided any documentary evidence to support this claim. Specifically, XXXX has not provided : The exact date the funds were remitted A holder report number or confirmation of receipt from the NY Office of Unclaimed Funds The name and address under which the property was reported I have searched the New York Office of Unclaimed Funds database multiple times using all variations of my name and relevant address information and have found no record of the funds. As of today, I have neither received my money nor been able to locate it through the State of New York. Given that XXXX has removed the funds from my account but has failed to provide proof that the funds were properly remitted, I am deeply concerned about the status and whereabouts of my money. I respectfully request that XXXX be required to : Provide formal documentation proving remittance to the NY Office of Unclaimed Funds, including the report year and filing confirmation ; or Immediately return the funds to me if remittance can not be verified.
