We were trying to close on the sale of our home and purchase of a new home through our lender NEXA Mortgage but our closing date through NEXA kept getting pushed because XXXX ( XXXX ) and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) kept requesting the same documents that were already provided to them on several occasions. We found out that someone at either XXXX or XXXX failed to push a button which caused major delays in our closing and continued issues. Because these companies kept delaying our closing we ended up homeless and having to switch lenders. The new lender was able to get us approved for a loan within a week. Please note that we had been working with NEXA for several months on a home loan. The NEXA broker we were working with kept telling us that we had submitted all documentation needed, and there would be no issues getting our loan approved since we had great credit. It wasn't until XXXX days prior to our original closing date XXXX that we found out about the error that XXXX had made failing to push a button on our loan. At that point we were told by NEXA that would be able to close on our loan XXXX. XXXX came and went and again we were told our closing was being moved to XXXX. The seller for our new home was ready to terminate our contract if our closing date was going to be delayed again due to NEXA, XXXX, XXXX. We had already sold our home because we had been told our loan would be through underwriting, approved, and we would close within XXXX days of the sale of our home. Someone from XXXX even called my bank requesting account information. Most of our documentation are emails. I tried to upload them to this complaint but aren't able to.
