on XX/XX/XXXX while in the hospital following an auto accident i kept getting messages on my cell phone but couldn't get to them while in the XXXX the next day once back home from hospital i read my messages i had gotten several alerts from various credit card companies asking if i had used my cards in California to make any purchase i replied no and i also called in to the companies on the next business day XX/XX/XXXX and Disputed the charges on my cards i was also advised to check all my other credit cards at that point i noticed that several cards had been used on XX/XX/XXXX while i was in the hospital i did not received any alerts from Avant credit at all but i called them and told them about the fraud alerts that i had received from other credit card and that my Avant card had some Fraud charges on it as well so they took the report. I later got a letter stating that more information was needed so i called them on XX/XX/XXXX and gave fraud investigators the information that they asked for and explained to them my cards was left at home in my nightstand i have about XXXX credit cards and i can't carry them all i told them that my girlfriend lives with me and she had friends/family over for the holidays the day of the XXXX while i was in the hospital but i don't believe anyone of them would of stolen those cards. I told them that i can send them proof from the hospital showing that i was in fact in the hospital on the XXXX of XXXX all day until around midnight but they refused the hospital admission paperwork. a few days later i got a letter in the mail to call Avant credit and they said that i authorized those charges because if my girlfriends family or friends stole the cards out of my house then that's my fault and im responsible even though i was in the hospital. That is the most XXXX thing that i have ever herd of. all the other credit cards that was used fraudulently that day refunded the funds back to the cards with no problem after the investigation was over and none of them required my hospital admission paperwork or statements form my neighbors that visited me while at the XXXX almost all that night. I ask them to get the video of whomever used the cards and they will see that it couldn't of been me because not only was i in the hospital but I'm in a wheelchair. This company did not do any investigation they was just looking for a out and came up with that ridiculous excuse because my girlfriend had company over to our house so it's my f since XX/XX/XXXX wich i can also provide them with proof of that fact as well but they said No.
