After many daily attempting to contact this company Javitch Block LLC without success, I was finally contacted today. During that conversation, we verbally agreed to a settlement amount of {$2900.00}. Before making any payment, I requested written confirmation of the agreed amount in order to maintain a proper paper trail. Despite requesting this multiple times, the company refused to provide the agreement in writing ( saying they dont do that ) and instead directed me to make payment through their website ( which still reflects the full amount, not settle amount ) .I was told once payment is made, Ill get a letter showing it was pay off. I do not feel comfortable making a payment based solely on a verbal agreement without written confirmation. As a consumer I should have the right to receive a writing confirmation proving the terms of our verbal agreement. Additionally, after reviewing the companys online reviews, I found multiple consumer complaints describing similar situations in which payments were made without written confirmation and accounts were allegedly not properly settled. I am willing to pay the agreed amount of {$2900.00} ; however, I believe it is reasonable and standard to receive written confirmation before submitting payment. This complaint is submitted due to the companys refusal to provide documentation of the verbal agreement. Also, I checked their XXXX reviews and it looks like they tend to do a verbal agreement or payment plan and then they stop answering calls and emails and sue you again for the same initial amount saying people are not paying anything. Also, they are adding interest to the debt making it impossible for people to actually pay it off.
