My mortgage was transferred from PHH Mortgage Services to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. PHH disputed and said it was supposed to be XX/XX/XXXX, but I received a welcome letter from XXXX in XXXX to set up online auto payments to start XX/XX/XXXX, which I did. However, PHH also still took my XXXX payment as well as XXXX. So I had {$2500.00} taken out twice on XX/XX/XXXX for the first payment of the new mortgage. PHH finally forwarded the funds they held for the XXXX payment to XXXX after weeks of waiting and they were then applied to XXXX 's payment by XXXX, so we got that settled. However, in the mean time, against the RESPA law that PHH representatives themselves told me about and assured me numerous times that I didn't need to worry about anyone reporting my loan as late because they couldn't report my loan late for 60 days during a transfer of a mortgage to another servicer, PHH still did report my XXXX payment as 30 days past due on XX/XX/XXXX, even though they were still holding those funds they took on XX/XX/XXXX. PHH held the funds until after XX/XX/XXXX, even though XXXX and I made numerous requests for the funds to be transferred to XXXX. I made numerous calls to the escalation department and sent PHH proof via email attachments that my credit scores dropped due to their inaccurate reporting of a late mortgage payment. Their last response via email on XX/XX/XXXX said that the loan is reported as current, which it is, however the late payment still shows up on the credit reports. I even had an attorney send them a letter on XX/XX/XXXX requesting they forward the funds and correct the inaccurate reporting of the late payment. I am still waiting for them to correct the credit reporting error.
