Credit Reporting Dispute Regarding Sallie Mae I am submitting this complaint to dispute an inaccurate credit report made by Sallie Mae that resulted in a XXXXpoint drop to my XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Sallie Mae regarding my account. During that call, I was informed that no negative credit reporting would occur because my sister, who is the main holder with this account, had been approved for a program and successfully set up a new payment plan. The first payment under this new arrangement was made as agreed. In addition to my own call, my sister contacted Sallie Mae multiple times. Across these calls, we received confirmation from four separate Sallie Mae representatives that the account would not be reported to the credit bureaus under these circumstances. Despite these repeated confirmations, Sallie Mae still reported the account to the credit bureaus, resulting in a significant and unexpected XXXXpoint reduction to my credit score. This reporting directly contradicts the information provided to us by multiple company representatives and has caused financial and emotional distress. I am disputing this report as inaccurate and unfair, as it was made after explicit confirmation that reporting would not occur and after the new payment plan was approved and paid.
