On XX/XX/XXXX I was notified by Discover Bank that I would receive {$1500.00} via XXXX from a sender into my account. This was a usual twice a month XXXX transaction where the sender and I never had issues. It typically takes a few days to post so I waited for the money to show up in my account. I checked my account on XX/XX/XXXX and noticed I never received the payment. Discover Bank never notified me that anything was wrong. I called them and they said that their policy to receive XXXX into Savings accounts changed on XX/XX/XXXX so my account was not eligible to receive the XXXX. The sender never cancelled the payment, their bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX shows the funds as having left their account, and the sender called their bank which confirmed the funds were disbursed. Discover Bank tells me they cant do anything so now the {$1500.00} is just gone. Discover Bank changed their policy, not the senders bank, so I need Discover to figure out what happened to the XXXX I was supposed to receive and/or contact the senders bank to figure this all out.
