On XX/XX/year> Navy Federal Credit Union restricted my account access to my checking and savings accounts due to XXXX transactions i received being flagged as suspicious activity. Prior to that i received funds transfers from a trusted sender/friend about a week beforehand. I contacted the financial institution to get clarity on what had took place with my accounts. I was asked questions about the XXXX transfers to confirm if they were in fact sent to me correctly or in error, i informed the representative they were sent to me correct. The sender sent me funds through XXXX as that was the only way we had mutual that would work for both of us. It was written in the for section of the transfer as gift. Noted that it was for me and not sent for any products or services as i do not sell anything. The senders account/card had something happen the same night that he sent me funds through XXXX that he had to report to his banking institution. They closed his card out allegedly. After i contacted him he had to go inside of his bank to speak with someone and he informed the associate that the funds sent to my XXXX account was in fact accurate and he did do those transactions prior to the incident that took place with his account. We both were advised they would contact Navy Federal Credit Union and straighten it out and advise them of that to get my accounts unlocked. In the meantime i filed an appeal with Navy Federal making a statement and requesting them to do further research. Navy federal credit union disregarded my appeal and denied it stating that my accounts would remain restricted and would be closed out after a certain amount of time. This has been a huge inconvenience for me to even be able to take care of my bills with the credit union and even caused me to have to travel XXXX hours ( XXXX hour there to a branch and XXXX hour back to get home ) in order to have my funds released out of my accounts to my loan account i have with them.
