I am submitting this complaint regarding Capital Ones reporting of XXXX accounts that were closed following a returned payment. I am not disputing the accuracy of the returned payment itself. The payment was returned due to a banking issue related to an account that was later identified as having fraudulent activity, which resulted in funds being temporarily withheld. The returned payment was not intentional. Prior to this isolated incident, the accounts were maintained in good standing with a positive payment history, and balances were routinely paid in full, with only minor administrative hiccups over time related to managing multiple accounts and updating different checking account numbers used for autopay. I have maintained a long-standing relationship with Capital One for approximately XXXX years and previously held multiple accounts with consistent on-time payments and low or XXXX balances. This incident was isolated and not reflective of my overall credit behavior. My concern is the reporting of all XXXX accounts as closed by creditor.
