I am submitting this complaint regarding a debit card refund that has not been received following the cancellation of a cruise. The original debit payment was made over a year ago. After the cruise was cancelled, XXXX XXXX attempted to issue a refund on XX/XX/XXXX to a bank account that had since been closed, causing the refund to be rejected and returned to the merchant. XXXX XXXX subsequently received my updated bank account information. I was later advised that the refund was reprocessed on XX/XX/year>. However, my bank has confirmed that no debit or ACH refund has been received or attempted since that date. Despite repeated calls, XXXX XXXX continue to state that the refund has processed yet they are unable to provide a transaction ID, trace number, or proof of transmission. The company has also refused to issue the refund by check, leaving the funds unresolved for several months. This is a failed debit refund that was never properly re-issued, and I have exhausted reasonable attempts to resolve this directly with the merchant.
