I am filing this complaint because PNC Bank incorrectly denied my fraud dispute. I made XXXX authorized purchase for {$57.00}. However, shortly after that, an additional charge of {$100.00} was posted to my account without my authorization. I did NOT approve, consent to, or recognize this second charge. I did not receive any goods or services for the {$100.00} transaction. I immediately reported the {$100.00} charge to PNC as unauthorized. PNC gave me a temporary credit while they investigated, but later they sent me a letter saying that no error occurred and they reversed the credit. This is incorrect. PNC treated the situation as if I had authorized both charges, but that is not true. The first transaction for {$57.00} was authorized, but the {$100.00} transaction was not. These were XXXX separate transactions. I was deceived by the merchant and did not knowingly approve any additional charge.
