I am filing this complaint because I am being charged by Solar Mosaic ( XXXX # XXXX ) for a XXXX loan even though the solar system installed by XXXX XXXX never operated correctly for over a year, causing severe financial loss and unjustified billing. Here is what happened : My XXXX XXXX was installed by XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/year>, including XXXX XXXX and a XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX Although the installation was physically completed, XXXX XXXX failed to configure the system correctly, including : Failure to activate or configure the XXXX XXXX Failure to establish monitoring access Failure to ensure that excess XXXX XXXX was exported to the XXXX XXXX Failure to ensure the XXXXXXXX XXXX was charging/discharging properly according to net-metering rules On XX/XX/year>, XXXX approved my XXXX XXXX Agreement and issued XXXX Despite XXXX approval, my system did not generate bill credits, did not reduce my XXXX XXXX, and was not exporting XXXX to the XXXX Throughout the entire XXXX period, I continued receiving full XXXX bills every month, as if I had NO XXXX XXXX at XXXX also being required to make monthly loan payments to Mosaic. I repeatedly contacted both Mosaic and XXXX XXXX over many months requesting : XXXX XXXX Confirmation of proper system activation Monitoring access Explanation for lack of XXXX credits and high electricity bills XXXX XXXX repeatedly said the system was working, but XXXX confirmed that my meter was properly registering production meaning the issue is with the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX As a result : I paid more than XXXX months of XXXX bills at full price I was also charged monthly by Mosaic for a solar system that did NOT function The financial damage has been substantial Because the system never worked properly, I stopped paying Mosaic while attempting to resolve the issue Mosaic is now threatening collections, even though I should not owe for a system that never provided the contracted benefit I am requesting CFPB intervention because Mosaic is attempting to collect a debt for a system that has not delivered the promised functionality, and both companies failed to resolve the problem despite repeated attempts on my part. This is unjustified billing for an unusable product, and I have been financially harmed for over a year.
