I am disputing a solar home-improvement loan serviced by Mosaic. The solar installer made material misrepresentations at the time of sale and closing, including promises of a {$0.00} electricity bill and the ability to sell excess power back to XXXX. I was also told my roof was suitable for solar installation, which later proved false. XXXX years after installation, I was forced to pay approximately {$8000.00} out of pocket to remove and reinstall the solar panels in order to replace my roof. The solar company is no longer in business, and Mosaic has since filed for bankruptcy protection. Despite this, I remain obligated on a loan for a system that did not perform as promised and caused significant financial harm. I sent a written demand letter disputing the loan and requesting relief. I am requesting investigation, loan cancellation or appropriate remediation due to deceptive sales practices and failure of consideration.
