I am submitting this complaint regarding Capital Management Services , LP. On or about XX/XX/year>, I sent the company a written debt validation request pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), 15 U.S.C. 1692g, in response to a collection notice for an alleged XXXX XXXX XXXX account ending in XXXX. In my letter, I clearly disputed the debt and requested full validation, including proof of the original contract, account history, and documentation showing the companys legal authority to collect. To date, the company has failed to provide the requested validation. Despite this, the account continues to be reported and/or collection activity has not been properly ceased. Under the FDCPA, a debt collector must cease collection and reporting until proper validation is provided. I am requesting CFPB assistance to ensure compliance with federal law, including cessation of collection activity and credit reporting unless and until the debt is properly validated.
