On XX/XX/year>, I had made a payment to Sofi banking of {$2000.00}. Since this payment was more than the {$790.00} minimum payment due on XX/XX/year>, that was more than enough to fulfill the payment requirements. To avoid auto pay still going through, I had canceled it so it wouldnt charge on XX/XX/XXXX. A few days later, I went to see if I could set up auto payment so the first withdrawal date can be XX/XX/year>. When setting up the auto pay, it had shown that the next withdrawal date would be XX/XX/year>. I also received an email confirming that the next auto pay withdrawal would be XX/XX/year>. I then got an email today saying that there is an auto withdraw payment for XX/XX/year>. I did not authorize them to withdraw this money for this date. I reached out to customer service to explain the situation, they said that because I had scheduled auto pay before the due date that I had already fulfilled with a payment, that thats the reason why its still withdrew. Their solution was to provide a refund seven days from now without any interest associated with that amount. They didnt attempt to look into the situation further to make sure that it doesnt happen again to me or to anyone else. They dont seem to be willing to fix this issue, which is why Im reaching out to you. Since then, I have canceled my auto pay and requested that they apply the payment to the next month, even though it messes up my payments of other expenses. What I would like so I to do is to ensure this doesnt happen again to anybody else. I had to give up my .25 % interest bonus to set up manual payment as they can no longer be trusted with auto pay.
