National Debt Holdings ( NDH ) acquired a new account of mine on XX/XX/year>. I am filing this complaint due to serious concerns based on NDHs past use of a third-party agency that harassed me and my family. The agency NDH placed my prior account with contacted my relatives, disclosed information about the debt, cursed at me, and used threatening, abusive language, clear FDCPA violations. Because NDH chose an abusive agency in the past, I sent NDH a cease-and-desist on XX/XX/year> requesting : No phone contact of any kind No family or third-party contact Written communication only No placement with agencies that contact consumers by phone That my cease-and-desist must transfer to ANY third-party if NDH assigns the account NDH has not acknowledged or responded to my cease-and-desist. Given their past handling and the prior harassment caused by the agency they selected, I am concerned this new account may again be placed with an agency that violates the FDCPA. I am requesting the CFPB require NDH to : 1. Confirm my cease-and-desist has been added to ALL accounts they hold related to me 2. Confirm whether the new account has been placed with any third-party agency 3. Ensure NDH does not assign my account to any agency that contacts consumers by phone 4. Ensure NDH and any third-party comply with all FDCPA rules and no contact is made with me or my family I am seeking protection from future contact, harassment, or FDCPA violations.
