I bought a Google XXXX gift card from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2025. It was activated by the store. When I tried to redeem the card I had a message saying further information needed ( see attached ). I sent all the information they requested which comprised of picture of error message, till receipt, copy of the gift card and copy of the activation ( see attached ). Since XXXX XXXX I have been messaging the complaints department back and forth with no luck. First of all they say there are restrictions on my Google account but do not explain what they mean. Then I have gone on their online chat to be told that my gift card is part of a batch that can not be redeemed. Why? They cant tell me that! I have bought this card from a well known store. The store can not help because they have completed all that is necessary from their side. I have been through my credit card company but they can not help either. I have tried with Google and escalated to their specialists. I can not believe that I have paid XXXX for a card from a large U.S. company that due to no fault of my own I can not use and they will do nothing about it. This seems to be a common occurrence according to their online reviews.
