I have been corresponding with CAC Financial Corp XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for several months, possibly over a year. I have repeatedly requested a settlement, which they have declined. Recently, they stated that my accounts were sent back to the original provider, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX, and they reported that they had not received the accounts. When I called CAC back, they claimed I still had accounts with them. Before receiving the privacy-violating email, I spoke with a CAC representative by phone. They stated, It doesnt look like this has been reported to your credit, to which I replied that it would not appear because it is medical debt. The representative then said they would forward the matter to their law team. When I asked why, they said, Thats just the steps we take. CAC has frequently emailed me about individual accounts, despite my requests to receive updates about all accounts together. More seriously, on XX/XX/year>, they sent me an email stating there was an ongoing investigation regarding my accounts. As I read through it, I realized it was regarding someone else 's account. I tried to respond through their encrypted portal, but it would not allow me. I then emailed them from my personal email, including all the emails they had attached. This also included XXXX of the individuals whose information was disclosed. She contacted me to confirm the disclosure and requested that I forward the email. I could not do this because their encrypted portal only allows internal emails, so I took screenshots of the attachments showing her information. I have reported this privacy violation to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights ( XXXX Complaint # XXXX ). I have also informed CAC of this violation and requested written confirmation that my balance of {$880.00} is waived due to multiple administrative errors and serious XXXX concerns and violations. They have not responded.
