I worked for XXXX a year to get an outpatient in network XXXX covered by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I worked closely with their billing and pre-authorization dept. I was told it was hovered and never once had an estimate or information that out of picket would be XXXX $ XXXX I traded phone messages with the XXXX dept m. 6 months after service after I got the bill and several messages to the supervisor, XXXX XXXX. I explained clearly my surprise and their wrong doing and violation in spirit of the no surprise act. After I quoted this she immediately sent me to collections. She would not work with me. My insurance paid a whopping XXXX. I am bewly XXXX XXXX and XXXX I can not afford this. XXXX should not ever surprise people esp after working with them for over 1 year to get a procedure done. They were paid fairly gif the bill and they need to discharge me. I they need to give people an estimate I would not have had this done this is an unfair surprise bill
