On XX/XX/year> Capital One closed XXXX of my credit card accounts ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX ) after XXXX returned payments. These returned payments were not because I was unwilling or unable to pay. They occurred only because I accidentally selected the wrong external XXXX by XXXX XXXX bank account when submitting payments. I was never delinquent on any of these accounts. I have never had a late payment, I had a consistent positive payment history, and I corrected the situation immediately XXXX I realized what happened. Since the closures, I have immediately paid XXXX of the accounts to a XXXX balance, and I am actively and consistently paying down the final account. Despite this, XXXX XXXX informed me that the closures are permanent policy, even though the accounts are now paid/current and I demonstrated ability and willingness to pay. This action is punitive and disproportionate to the situation. I didnt receive any prior warnings, calls from the bank, any fraud warnings or emails. My account was not delinquent it was current and I was attempting to pay large amounts to bring down the amounts. The banks action now causes my credit reports to show Closed by XXXX XXXX, which unfairly harms my credit standing and does not accurately reflect that I corrected the payment source issue right away and have maintained responsible credit management. I can provide documentation including proof of payment history, proof of income, financial aid records, and screenshots showing the accounts were paid after the returned payment error. I value my credit, acted responsibly, and am simply seeking fair treatment and accurate reporting that reflects my true credit behavior. Please assist me.
