XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX, Equifax and XXXX posted the collection account initiated by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NC XXXX. Original creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, original amount owed : {$960.00}. XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX sent to my attention multiple collection letters. XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX collection request was properly disputed within 30 days. XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX blatantly ignored multiple letters from me with demand to provide verification of debt. It is a direct violation of " Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 808 ( b ) Disputed debts ''. Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 808 ( b ) clearly stated : " If the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period described in subsection ( a ) of this section that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, ... the debt collector shall cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof, until the debt collector obtains verification of the debt ''.
