I started a Chime account in XX/XX/year>. In XX/XX/year>, upgraded to include the Chime XXXX XXXX which advertised free and safe credit builder program. In XX/XX/year>, I began receiving emails about my account payment being due in XX/XX/year>. I called Chime, spoke to XXXX, who told me to disable the XXXX XXXX option to prevent /the account from taking money from the Checking/Savings for a FREE program. Today, XX/XX/year> I couldn't access the XXXX XXXX Credit Card because it was locked for failure to pay a delinquency. The same delinquency XXXX told me would go away if I XXXX the safer builder automatic option. I have spent XXXX minute on the chat with XXXX who kept telling me that the XXXX XXXX delinquency would go away if I reenabled the safer builder feature. I can not get them to give me any documents about how much the account costs to use. It seems like they count your addition of funds to a secured credit card as a deposit and then want you to pay exactly what you spent in addition. That would be 100 % fee on an advertised FREE secured credit card. I am currently talking with the representative about closing this devious account.
