Equifax Information Services LLC TransUnion LLC Complaint Summary I am a confirmed victim of identity theft. I submitted valid FTC Identity Theft Reports, a police report, and proof of identity to Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. Despite receiving this documentation, all three credit reporting agencies are continuing to report identity-theft accounts and are improperly treating my submissions as consumer disputes or reinvestigations instead of blocking the information as required by law. Equifax Information Services LLC Equifax is continuing to report identity-theft accounts including : XXXX XXXX XXXX Equifaxs own reporting states CONSUMER DISPUTES REINVESTIGATION IN PROGRESS, confirming Equifax is reinvestigating rather than blocking the identity-theft account. This is a direct violation of FCRA 605B, which does not permit reinvestigation once a valid identity theft report has been submitted. TransUnion LLC TransUnion is continuing to report multiple identity-theft accounts and downstream collection accounts, including : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX These accounts continue to appear as charge-offs and collections despite TransUnion receiving my FTC Identity Theft Report and supporting documentation.
