In XX/XX/year>, XXXX XXXX SOLD and transferred my account to XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX provided written confirmation that they no longer own or service this account. Despite this, Experian continues to report XXXX XXXX as if they still own the account. This information is inaccurate, misleading, and harmful. I requested verification and ownership documentation. XXXX stated they CAN NOT provide further information because they NO LONGER OWN THE DEBT. XXXX XXXX has not reported anything. This means Experian is publishing a tradeline that is currently UNVERIFIED and tied to a company that has no ownership interest. Under FCRA 62 3 ( b ), information that can not be verified must be corrected or deleted. Experian can not legally continue reporting a creditor that no longer owns the account. I am requesting immediate investigation and DELETION of this inaccurate tradeline, as well as written confirmation of the results. Re-reporting should not occur unless certified documentation from the current creditor is obtained.
